Practical Tips For Debating The Left (Pt 1):
Taking Back The Language
Saul Alinsky Once Said,
“He who controls the language controls the masses.”
It is Because I believe this is true that I’m going to outline key words from the left that we shouldn’t use, and also give you substitutes. I hope this serves as a practical tool for when you debate!
But before I do that I would like you to take a look at “The Naked Communist” by Cleon Skousen. In this he outlines many goals of the communist party. Here are just a few:
Get control of the schools
Degrade American culture
Eliminate laws banning obscenity
Promote degeneracy and promiscuity
Control the news and media
And there are many more things beyond this. Hopefully you can see the similarities to the Left. Before we get into the rest I would like to give you one more quote. This one is by Karl Marx:
“If you can cut people off from their history then they can be persuaded.”
I hope this encourages you to study history! Especially the founding of America and the principles it was built on.
With that said here are some words the left uses that we shouldn’t use.
Words from the Left we shouldn’t use:
Progressive — instead use leftist or radical.
This is not real progressive, but a fake idea the left has made up.
Gender Affirming Care — instead use gender dysphoria or chemical and surgical mutilation.
It is not ‘affirming care’ so we shouldn’t call it so.
Asylum seeker/Migrant — instead use illegal immigrant or alien.
They use asylum to describe every immigrant not just legal ones.
They call immigrants victims in order to mask the victimization of American citizens through immigration.
Social Justice and Equity and Inclusion — instead use Character first, Hard word, and Equal Opportunity.
These words (social justice/equity and inclusion) don’t mean anything. What is equity? How much diversity is diversity?
It’s really about equality of OUTCOME which is communism and Marxism.
Zero Emissions — Instead use Anti-science environmentalism or politicized science
There is no such thing as climate change.
Also, EVERYONE emits something just by breathing.
Women’s Reproductive Health — Instead use Infanticide, Killing of the unborn, and abortion.
Less than 1% of abortions in the US are actually to save the life of the mother.

Criminal Justice Reform — Instead use Pro-Criminal Agenda.
When using this term in an actual debate it helps refocus the conversation on public safety.
Fair Share — Instead use Forced redistribution.
This is about the transfer of wealth, which is socialism.
What IS fair is keeping more of people’s hard earned money, and the government taking less in the most efficient way possible.
Recreational Marijuana — Instead use Addiction for profit or Pro-drug agenda.
Recreation is playing a sport for fun or doing a hobby and a hobby is not doing drugs.
Investment — Instead use tax and spending or government solutions.
Invest in yourselves and not government.
Islamophobia — Instead discuss legal and safety concerns or use islamo-extremism and islamo-fascism.
A phobia is an extreme and IRRATIONAL concern of something.
Woke — Instead use dangerous ideas and agendas.
“woke” waters down the impact of the argument and the point you’re trying to make.
Assisted Suicide — Instead use legalized killing, pro-suicide laws, and state sanctioned murder.
I know this is a lot of information and I didn’t take the time to explain my reasoning thoroughly with evidence, so if anyone has any questions or would like me to share some of the research that backs this up just let me know!
